Percentage Calculator
Work out percentages three ways: find a percentage of a number, find what percentage one number is of another, or calculate a percentage increase or decrease. Each answer comes with the steps.
Formula
P% of N = (P ÷ 100) × N · X is (X ÷ Y) × 100 % of Y · Change = ((B − A) ÷ |A|) × 100
How it works
- 1
Pick the type of percentage problem you want to solve.
- 2
For “P% of N”, the percentage is converted to a decimal and multiplied by N.
- 3
For “X is what percent of Y”, X is divided by Y and multiplied by 100.
- 4
For percentage change, the difference is divided by the original value, then multiplied by 100.
